Following the issue of a provisional fixture list of World Championship events and a meeting at ACU House last Friday, ACU Events, the Series Promoter has issued their own provisional list of dates for the 2014 ACU British Motocross Championship.
Letters and draft contracts will be sent to possible organisers this week and with a little uncertainty over a couple of dates it has been necessary to include nine rounds plus a reserve date in the list, but the Promoter is keen to point out that the intended number of rounds is likely to be limited to eight once the FIM and Youthstream have finalised their fixture list at the Congress in October.
The Provisional dates are
5th October (Reserve date).
Series Manager, Brian Higgins commented, “We wanted to issue this provisional fixture list to enable other member clubs to start planning their 2014 season, but obviously, until the FIM finalise their dates we have to keep this provisional. A list of organisers and venues will be released when contracts have been signed.”
ACU Events are currently in deep negotiations with long term Series Sponsor, Maxxis Tyres which will see the company continuing to be Title Sponsor for a further three years.
Again Higgins added, ” We very much hope that Maxxis will continue to be our Title Sponsor for a further three years as together the championship has grown over the years we have worked together.
