Carson Mumford and AEO Powersports KTM Racing will remain together for the coming years. The American team has announced that its partnership with Mumford has been extended through the 2029 season. With the new agreement, AEO is clearly showing its confidence in the future with the American rider.
The partnership between Mumford and AEO Powersports began less than a year ago. His original contract had already been extended through 2027, but both parties have now agreed to add another two seasons. As a result, Mumford is committed to the team through 2029.
According to team owner Jeremy Scism, Mumford has quickly become an important part of the organization, both on and off the track. Stability and mutual trust are seen as key factors behind the long-term agreement.

“When we first signed Carson, I said I felt like we could break the cycle he had been in and build something meaningful together. At the time, that mainly meant giving him the stability and platform to show everyone what he is capable of.”
“Less than a year later, we had already extended his original contract through 2027, and now we are committing to another two years together. That says a lot about how this partnership has developed and how much confidence we have in where this can go.”
Interestingly, AEO Powersports also hinted at further developments within the team in its announcement. Scism spoke of “very big plans” for the future of the program, without revealing any further details at this time.
Mumford is set to play an important role in those plans.
“Carson has become a huge part of this team, both on and off the track. There is a level of trust that you cannot build overnight. We know what he needs, he knows what we expect, and everyone is working in the same direction.”
