Glenn Coldenhoff has wrapped up the Brazilian Motocross Championship in impressive fashion. The Dutchman won both motos at the decisive final round, overcoming his main title rival Enzo Lopes. Coldenhoff started the finale six points behind, but completely turned the championship around with two victories to crown himself champion.
Ahead of the season finale, the situation was clear. Lopes led the championship with 363 points, while Coldenhoff was just six points behind on 357. The title fight was therefore completely open.
In the first moto, Coldenhoff immediately set the pace. The Dutchman took the victory and crossed the finish line after seventeen laps with a 10.069-second advantage over Lopes. Paulo Alberto finished a distant third. Benoit Paturel, who joined the Honda team for the finale, finished seventh.
There was once again no stopping Coldenhoff in the decisive second moto. He managed to keep Lopes behind him once again, this time building a lead of 15.537 seconds. With that, Coldenhoff secured his second moto victory of the day and definitively sealed the title.
Lopes once again had to settle for second place, while Paulo Alberto crossed the finish line in third. Paturel finished the second moto in tenth.
With a perfect 1-1 score, Coldenhoff finished the finale exactly as he needed to. After starting the decisive round six points behind, he turned the championship fight in his favor on the very last race day.
For the Dutchman, the double victory therefore means not only a perfect end to the Brazilian season, but above all the crowning achievement of his campaign: Glenn Coldenhoff is the 2026 Brazilian Motocross Champion.
