Maxime Renaux to Miss Remainder of MXGP Season Due to Rib Injury

Maxime Renaux will not compete again this season in the FIM Motocross World Championship. The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP rider, in consultation with his team, has decided to sit out the final three Grands Prix in order to fully recover from a rib injury.

Renaux sustained the injury during the MXGP of Sweden. The Frenchman subsequently tried to continue his season, but the symptoms worsened during the MXGP of the Netherlands in Arnhem.

Following further medical examinations, it was decided that continuing to race would not be responsible. As a result, Renaux will miss the remaining three rounds of the MXGP season and will now focus fully on his recovery.
