Kash van Hamond of the Future MX-Team made a strong comeback during the ProX Youth MON race in Stevensbeek. Kash is still recovering from an injury, but showed on his KTM that his speed is still very much there.
After a period in which he was forced to ride less than usual, the race in Stevensbeek was mainly about regaining race rhythm. From the very beginning, however, Kash felt comfortable on the bike.
He completed two consistent motos, posting strong lap times along the way. Particularly during the first part of the race, Van Hamond showed that despite his recent injury, his speed is still at a high level.
Towards the end of the race, the lack of race rhythm and fitness started to become more noticeable, and Kash had to give up some ground. Despite this, he managed to win both motos in the 85cc class.
Future MX-Team:
“For Kash, the most important thing was to regain race rhythm after his injury. From the very beginning, that went extremely well. He led for a long time and posted some very good lap times. Towards the end, he dropped back slightly due to the lack of race rhythm, but that is completely understandable at this stage. It also gives us a clear idea of what we need to work on over the coming period to get him fully back to his previous level.”
