Ferruccio Zanchi sustained a back injury during the MXGP of Great Britain at Foxhill. The Italian rider crashed heavily after jumping down one of the circuit’s hills while running inside the top ten and battling for sixth place.
Medical examinations revealed a small fracture to his sixth thoracic vertebra (T6). As a result, Zanchi will need a short recovery period before he can return to racing.
Despite the setback, the Honda rider remains positive. Before the crash, he was showing strong pace and had the speed to fight for a top result.
