TEAM HONDA MADDII ABF ITALIA: TOP 10 FOR MAXIME GRAU AT THE MXGP OF GREAT BRITAIN IN FOXHILL

Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia wraps up the twelfth round of the Motocross World Championship, held on the historic and technical Foxhill track in Great Britain. A unique weekend that saw only the MX2 class take to the track, focusing all the spotlight on the performance of the young lites-class talent.

Representing the team’s colors, Maxime Grau was the protagonist of a solid yet challenging weekend, which nevertheless ended on a positive note with an important tenth place overall in the day’s standings.
The weekend started uphill for the French rider. Both in Saturday’s qualifying race and in Sunday’s first moto, Grau struggled to find the ideal rhythm. The specific ground conditions and the old-school layout of the British circuit—a type of track that riders have become less accustomed to in recent years—made the initial feeling with the bike complex.

The turning point came in Race 2. Thanks to the work of the team’s technicians and the rider’s determination, Maxime managed to rediscover his usual riding style and the feeling that had been missing in the previous sessions. Showing excellent pace and smooth riding, Grau gritted his way through the field to cross the finish line in the top 10.

A standout note for the entire weekend was the effectiveness of the starts: in all sessions, the Team Maddii Honda launched perfectly off the gate, consistently running inside the top 5 through the opening corners. A few too many mistakes during the motos partially compromised the chance to fight for the podium, but the speed shown leaves excellent feedback for the remainder of the season.

A weekend that, although it did not start under the best auspices, closes with the concreteness of a top-ten world finish, demonstrating the value of the technical package and the rider’s growth.

Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia now looks ahead with optimism, ready to work on the details to show up even more competitive at the next world championship round.
