Bad news for Jo Shimoda. The Japanese HRC Honda rider and current leader of the AMA Pro Motocross 250 Championship will not line up for the Southwick National.
Shimoda suffered a heavy crash during timed practice, sustaining a broken collarbone and a concussion. As a result of these injuries, he has been ruled out of the fifth round of the Pro Motocross Championship.
It is not yet known how long Shimoda will be sidelined. His absence is a major blow to his title campaign, as he arrived at Southwick leading the championship standings.
