Aaron Plessinger will also miss the Southwick National and Spring Creek National as he continues to recover from the tailbone injury he sustained during the RedBud National.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider crashed in the opening turn at RedBud and was subsequently hit by another rider. The incident left him with a deep laceration to his tailbone that required stitches. In addition, the American is still dealing with significant bruising in the affected area.
Plessinger’s condition will be re-evaluated ahead of the eighth round of the Pro Motocross Championship in Washougal later this month. A decision on whether he will be able to make his return to racing will be made following that assessment.
