Bas Verspaandonk #594, Tim Lopes and Ricardo Bauer secured pole position at the FIM Junior World Championship in the Czech Republic. There was misfortune for Moritz Ernecker, who crashed during the timed practice session and sustained an injury.
The top 18 riders in each group qualified directly for the main races.
