The fast Swedish Isak Gifting from the JK Racing Yamaha team will be unable to compete for the time being. During the preseason, Gifting dislocated his shoulder, and since it has come out of place several more times recently, surgery will be required to fix the problem.
Due to this operation, Gifting will need several months to recover and is expected to return to the start of the MXGP World Championship in the second half of the season.
