Kevin Brumann of MX Handel Racing has suffered a major setback in the lead-up to his home Grand Prix. The Swiss rider was injured following a crash during Sunday’s warm-up session at the MXGP of Spain.
The crash resulted in a shoulder injury, putting his participation in the upcoming races in doubt. The news comes at a particularly unfortunate time, with his home race in Switzerland just around the corner.
“This is definitely not the update I wanted to share, especially with my home GP so close,” Brumann said. “It’s hard to accept, especially knowing how much work my team and everyone around me has put into this.”
Despite the setback, the Swiss rider remains determined and grateful for the support he’s receiving. The team is now focused on recovery, aiming for a return to top-level competition as soon as possible.
“This is not the end. I’m not done yet,” a determined Brumann added.
