The 2026 Arenacross Tour is preparing to be unleashed once more at the SSE Arena in Belfast, as rounds two and three bring the Tour to a close on the banks of the River Lagan.
The Championships are still completely up for grabs across all of the classes, as anything can happen, and usually does, in the hectic world of Arenacross.
The AX Pro class is being led by reigning Champ Dean Wilson, after a perfect night for the Armor Vision St Blazey Honda MX rider in the Midlands, that included a brilliant final-corner pass on Jack Brunell in their thrilling Head-to-Head Final. 2024 Champion Brunell is second for Stark Future Racing, amazingly tied on points with Dirt Store Triumph Racing star Dylan Woodcock, who will be hoping for better starts in all of the six Main Events in Belfast.
There’s more close racing behind them, as AJP Racing veteran Adam Chatfield is level for fourth with the second Dirt Store Triumph of Eddie Wade. JM3 Shocktech Racing’s Matt Bayliss and Stark Future’s Steven Clarke are also just within five points of that top five, meaning that the battles in the pack should be extra-tough around the SSE Arena.
Things are a little tighter in the team Standings, as the Armor Vision St. Blazey MX team hold just a five-point lead over Dirt Store Triumph Racing, with the Stark Future Racing just another four markers back. The fate of the second riders in each squad, Martin Barr, Eddie wade, and Steven Clarke, will be key to the trophy in that Championship.
The Pro-Am battles, as ever, were just as exciting in Birmingham, with four pilots seemingly on a very equal pace. Stark rider Louis Brookes holds a slender two-point advantage over Welsh wizard Josh Greedy, with South African two-stroke hero Neville Bradshaw just another five further back. Teenage Triumph man Harry Lee is just another two back, gaining valuable experience against his elder competitors that might well see him launch to the top in the final two rounds. Callum McCaul sits in fifth, with Belfast local Lewis Spratt just a point behind him, and ready for some home support.
The AX Superminis were dominated by the amazing John Slade in Birmingham, and it will be a major shock if anyone can challenge him in Belfast. Cameron Berry in second, and Mason Staddon in third seem to have the podium spots in hand right now, although Mason Brown and Corey Heffernan could strike from where they are, and Frank Bishop is tied with Corey for that fifth spot.
The AX Mini class saw close racing, but Blake Marks-Bracey, or BMB as he might become known, came out on top in both races, to hold a solid eight-point advantage over Finlee Pope and Preston Killoran, who are tied for second. Roy Townley is another six behind, then comes another tie for fifth between Oscar Morris and Harley Sims.
Finally, the E-Mini class turned up some wild results, but mainly behind double winner Harley Patel, who has a ten-point lead over Oliver Fostun. Two points further back is Maddox Knifton, while Cooper Swan and Aliyas Westwick are equal in fourth spot just two behind Maddox. That is certainly likely to change in Belfast!
All of the top contenders have everything to go for in Belfast, so for sure they will be giving it all in front of two packed nights in the SSE Arena.
