Eli Tomac claimed pole position during qualifying for the second round of the AMA Supercross Championship in San Diego. In the closing moments of the session, Jorge Prado delivered an outstanding fast lap to secure second place, finishing ahead of Ken Roczen.
Hunter Lawrence and Justin Cooper completed the top five with fourth- and fifth-fastest times respectively.
In the 250 class, Haiden Deegan set the quickest time of the session. Levi Kitchen followed closely in second, while Ryder DiFrancesco recorded the third-fastest time. Chance Hymas and Max Anstie rounded out the top five.
