After a sensational maiden appearance in the Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) in 2025, the Victorian city of Traralgon will return to the calendar in 2026.
Thanks to continued support from the Latrobe City Council, the challenging Loy Yang Park track – with its gradient changes and punchy straights – will host round six ProMX action on Sunday, July 12.
Following on from exceptional racing across all the ProMX classes in 2025 – the MX1 battles between arch-rivals Jed Beaton and Kyle Webster among the highlights – more of the same is expected in 2026 in what will be a pivotal round for the championship.
The vastly experienced Traralgon Motorcycle Club will again provide hosting and logistical support for the Traralgon ProMX round.

Latrobe City Council Mayor, Councillor Dale Harriman:
“It is with great excitement that Latrobe City will welcome the 2026 ProMX Championships to our region.
“For the second time, Traralgon will proudly host this exciting national event at the renowned Loy Yang Park Motocross Track. The event will be expertly run by the highly experienced Traralgon Motorcycle Club and proudly supported by Council.
“I encourage everyone to come along and take in the action. It promises to be an unforgettable round of the ProMX Championship in Latrobe City.”

Motorcycling Australia CEO, Peter Doyle:
“After being an iconic motocross track for decades, I was delighted to see Traralgon join the ProMX calendar in 2025.
“And it didn’t disappoint! The on-track action was nothing short of jaw-dropping, and the feedback from riders, teams and spectators on all aspects of the round was overwhelmingly positive.
“And we’re back in 2026 to do it all again, and I’d like to thank the Latrobe City Council for its continued support to help showcase the Australian Motocross Championship in its most professional light.”
With Wonthaggi (round one) and Traralgon now confirmed, the balance of the eight-round 2026 ProMX Championship will be announced in the week starting December 1.
