Cornelius Tøndel Makes the Move to America

Norwegian talent Cornelius Tøndel will take a major step in his career in 2026 as he joins the International Supercross Race Team. The switch comes shortly after his departure from the JWR Honda team, where he competed in the MXGP World Championship during the 2025 season.

In 2025, Tøndel had the opportunity to get a first taste of racing in the United States. He competed in several rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross series with JWR Honda and impressed with his pure speed and adaptability. These strong performances opened the door for a full-time move to the American racing scene.

In 2026, Tøndel will compete in both Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross under the International Supercross Race Team banner. He will also switch to Kawasaki machinery, with plans to race a 450cc bike in Supercross. It’s a major change in discipline and environment, but one the Norwegian rider is embracing with great enthusiasm.

After years of development in Europe, Tøndel now has a unique opportunity to prove himself in the American Supercross and Motocross circuits.

Cornelius Tøndel:

“I’m super excited to share that I will be racing full time in the United States next year. This is an opportunity I’ve been dreaming of since I started in this sport, and I feel blessed to have this chance. Thank you to the ISRT race team for believing in me — let’s put in the work and make 2026 a great year.”

Alongside Tøndel, Vince Friese, Noah Viney, Max Millar and Tristan Dalton will also compete for the International Supercross Race Team.
