Jeffrey Herlings will have the first gate pick this afternoon for the MXGP qualifying race after setting the fastest lap in the closing seconds of the session. The rider from Oploo edged out Lucas Coenen, who secured the second-fastest time, while Tim Gajser finished third. Current World Championship leader Romain Febvre recorded the fourth-fastest lap.
Calvin Vlaanderen was the second-best Dutch rider in eighth place, with Glenn Coldenhoff just outside the top ten in 11th. Roan van de Moosdijk placed 12th, and Brian Bogers finished 16th.
