Noel Zanocz of JM Racing Honda has claimed victory in the EMX250 race in Uddevalla, Sweden. This marks his second win in a row in the category.
Zanocz felt comfortable on the track during practice sessions. He set the fastest time in his group during time practice and entered the opening moto with confidence.
A strong start in the first race was briefly interrupted when he lost his balance and had to roll off the throttle, dropping him back to around tenth place. On a track where overtaking was difficult, Zanocz fought his way forward and secured a solid third-place finish.
In the second moto, he got off to a better start and began the race around fourth or fifth position. Finding a good rhythm, he managed to overtake the riders in front of him and took the lead midway through the race. Zanocz kept up the pace and never relinquished his advantage, crossing the line as the winner.
With 3-1 results, Zanocz secured the overall victory, his second consecutive triumph in the EMX250 class. In the championship standings, he remains in a strong second place.
Brent van Doninck suffered misfortune in the opening moto. While riding inside the top fifteen, a stone jammed his rear brake, causing him to miss a corner and crash. Despite losing many positions, he managed to salvage a twentieth-place finish.
In the second moto, Van Doninck bounced back in the highly competitive MXGP class with a strong ninth-place result.
He finished fourteenth overall on the day and now sits nineteenth in the MXGP World Championship standings.
Next up for JM Racing Honda is the Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem.
