A good sixth stage for us. Today was the most difficult stage in terms of navigation, in my opinion, very similar to what we will encounter in Portugal with fairly fast roads and sand.

The roads were rocky at the start, where Tosha was opening the special stage. The second-placed rider had problems with his bike, which puts us further ahead in the lead. Despite the big difference with the next rider, this is rally and until you cross the finish line on the last day, you can’t celebrate anything.

It was a slower stage at the beginning, more like an enduro than a rally. When I got to the refuelling point, I saw that the riders were a little close to me, so I tried to push a little harder in the second half of the day. The last 50 kilometres were on sand and much faster, where I felt much better and was able to enjoy myself. It’s a shame what happened to Dumontier, who didn’t finish, but I have a big advantage now and I’ll try to keep it in the last two days.
