Denmark is represented this year at the Motocross of Nations by a team of strong riders with both international experience and great team spirit.
There are always many considerations and names in play when selecting a team for the MXoN, and this year was no exception.
It has taken a significant effort to get all the pieces to fall into place in order to assemble a strong team that can perform and support each other under the tough pressure of the MXoN.
This year’s MXoN team is:
Mikkel Haarup
Magnus Smith
Mads Fredsøe
It has not yet been decided which classes each rider will compete in. This will be clarified as the planning and preparation continue ahead of the race in the USA in October.
Throughout the season, all riders have shown speed, determination, and the ability to fight, collecting valuable experience and strong results from the European Championship, World Championship, and AMA.
These are all qualities that can help secure a good result at this year’s MXoN, with the goal of reaching the A-final and ideally finishing in the top 10 among the world’s best.
DMU’s national motocross coach, Thomas Kjer Olsen, together with the DMU Sports Director, has been involved in selecting this year’s riders for the MXoN and says:
“Denmark is well represented with this team. The boys are truly motivated to deliver their best and bring home a good result. I am very proud that Denmark can field a strong team with great support from dedicated sponsors and manufacturers. The riders are strong individually and even stronger together, and that’s something we’ll capitalize on in the USA.”
The riders themselves say:
Mikkel Haarup:
“I’m honored once again to be selected to represent Denmark at the Motocross of Nations. We’re fielding a young team with a lot of drive. I’m excited to see what we can achieve.”
Magnus Smith:
“I’m super proud to be selected for the MXoN this year. It’ll be an incredible experience and I look forward to fighting hard and flying the Danish flag in the USA.”
Mads Fredsøe:
“I’m really proud to be chosen again this year to represent Denmark at the Motocross of Nations in the USA. It’s a huge opportunity, and I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got and show the flag on motocross’s biggest stage.”
DMU, the national coach, and the riders also wish to extend a big thank you to the sponsors who support the team and have helped make this effort possible. Your backing means a lot, both to the riders and to Danish motocross.
