Cas Valk managed to win the first moto of the EMX250 class in Portugal. Due to the rainfall and the muddy circuit, the track is heavy. However, Valk managed to ride to victory in a controlled manner. Mathis Valin finished second ahead of Valerio Lata, more than forty seconds behind Valk. Maxime Grau and Saad Soulimano completed the top five.
