Triumph Racing has confirmed that Jordon Smith suffered a severe crash during the 250SX Triple Crown race in Arlington. After evaluation at the hospital, it was determined that he has a punctured lung and possibly several broken ribs. Smith has shared via social media: “All good, we will recover and be back as soon as possible.”
Smith was leading the race when he had a heavy fall in the ‘whoops.’ He was taken off the track on a stretcher and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
Despite this, Smith remains optimistic and has stated he will do everything he can to return for the East/West Showdown in Indianapolis, scheduled for March 8th.
Triumph Racing and the motorsport community wish Jordon Smith a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the track.
