Eli Tomac suffered a lower leg injury on Saturday during the sixth round of the AMA Supercross Championship in Tampa. In the second timed practice, he caught his foot under the foot peg during a jump, spraining the top of his ankle and bruising his lower leg.
Despite this, Tomac managed to qualify for the final, finishing in seventeenth place.
Next weekend, the championship continues in Detroit, and Tomac will do everything possible to arrive there in better shape. Whether he succeeds remains to be seen, as it’s a race against the clock.
