Kawasaki Team Green Riders Enjoy Exclusive Visit to KRT at MXON

Last weekend, a select number of Team Green UK youngsters got to enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the official Kawasaki Racing Team at the Motocross of Nations event at Matterley Basin. The trip followed several action-packed days at the Kawasaki Training Camp with Lee Dunham for young KX riders.

One of the highlights in the motocross calendar, the annual Motocross of Nations event returned to the UK last weekend at the iconic Matterley Basin venue in Hampshire. Alongside having the opportunity to witness the incredible action on track, a select number of young Team Green riders enjoyed the chance of a lifetime going behind the scenes with the official Kawasaki Racing Team.

With a full tour of the paddock, the riders were then taken into the KRT facility, where they were able to take a look around the race bikes and meet Jeremy Seewer, listen to a presentation from Team Manager Antti Pyrhönen and Kawasaki Motors Europe Race Planning Manager Steve Guttridge.

The visit followed a unique Team Green Training Camp in conjunction with Kawasaki Motors UK, Lee Dunham and the LDR Training Facility. The unique two-day event gave young KX riders the opportunity to come together and meet fellow riders, gain technical advice from Kawasaki Motors UK, and receive fitness and nutritional advice to boost their riding.

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department:

“This was an amazing opportunity for these young Team Green riders, allowing them to see the impressive KRT setup and hopefully inspire them to go on and achieve their dreams. They all showed their talents while at the Team Green Training Camp with Lee back in August, and we’re sure we’ll be seeing some of these stars of tomorrow competing at future Motocross of Nations events! I would also like to say a massive thank you to KRT for helping to make this amazing opportunity happen.”

Lee Dunham:

“We had a fantastic couple of days at the Team Green Training Camp helping these youngsters improve their riding, so it was amazing to build on that and give them a chance to go behind the scenes and see the factory KRT setup at MXON. It really was a money can’t buy experience, and hopefully gave them all something to aspire to, while on a personal level, it was great to see the friendships they made back in August and their passion for riding continue to grow.”
