When Marvin Musquin withdrew from the supercross that is being held in Paris this weekend, very few details about his knee injury were released. Musquin has now released his own statement though and it explains the situation that he is in quite well. The good news is that he will be ready for the Monster Energy Supercross opener on the first weekend in January, but the bad news is that he may not be at his best.
"After contracting a meniscus injury while training my last laps before going to Paris for the supercross, I have no other choice than canceling my participation to @Supercross_de_Paris," Musquin wrote on social media. "It's such a disappointment; I was so excited for this event and to see you all! I've met with my surgeon, Dr. Galaud, and he has forced me to do some specific intensive rehab and strengthening on my knee for a little bit, off the bike, in order to be one hundred percent in shape for Anaheim 1."
