It has been a very busy day for Jordi Tixier! First it was announced that he has been drafted into the French Motocross of Nations team, following the injury that Romain Febvre sustained, and now he has announced that he has signed a new contract for next year. Tixier will contest the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship with the relatively-inexperienced VHR KTM team.
"We wanted to announce it next week, but following the announcement of his selection by the French Federation of Motorcycling for ‘Nations in the US, we had to do it now," the team confirmed in a statement. "The VHR team have signed Jordi Tixier for the 2019 MXGP season. The team will be at his side at RedBud to provide technical assistance. We wish him good luck and the entire team of France."
