Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing have confirmed that Romain Febvre will miss the Grand Prix of The Netherlands at Assen, following his crash at the previous event in Turkey. Febvre sustained a concussion and broken rib in that incident. It is the latter, the rib injury, that is giving him trouble and will cause him to skip round nineteen of twenty.
A statement confirmed that he tried to ride for the first time earlier this week, but the pain was too great. Most will immediately ask questions about the Motocross of Nations, of course, but no information on how long it will take for the broken rib to heal has been released yet. Stay tuned to MX Vice for more updates on his condition.
