Todd Waters was motivated to prove a point during his fill-in stint with the HRC squad, which started at the Grand Prix of Latvia. Instead, however, he exited the facility with a fractured collarbone and faced a month on the sidelines. Waters is now ready to make his return and complete a full weekend aboard the CRF450RW.
"I am feeling good heading into the weekend," Todd Waters said in a team statement. "I have had a good couple of days of testing with the team, we made some big improvements with the bike and that brought some fresh confidence. Also, I am getting more confident every lap after the injury: it is only a month after the operation so it is still very fresh, but it is in the past now so I am ready for some action this weekend. I love going to Italy: I have heard it is going to be hot so I am going to enjoy that side as well. Overall I am pretty excited after missing the last few rounds so I cannot wait to get back racing the GPs."
It is unknown just how long Todd Waters will spend with Team HRC, but Brian Bogers may not race at all this season. If that does indeed turn out to be the case then Waters, who last raced in the FIM Motocross World Championship three years ago, will spend the rest of the year beneath the awning.
