Graeme Irwin had a difficult day at the third round of the Maxxis British Championship, as a crash in qualifying left him with severe burns on his back and shoulder. Looking at the image below, which was shared on his social media, it's remarkable that he actually salvaged a fourth and a seventh in the two motos.
"Tough day… Second lap of qualifying it all went pear shaped," Irwin wrote on social media. "Thank you to all the paramedics and the ACU doctor for doing a great job dressing my burns in between races." After acquiring a thirty-two points at Blaxhall, he now runs third in the championship standings and faces a deficit of thirty-three points to the current series leader.
