Bad news for Cooper Webb fans. Webb took to social media earlier today to reveal that his injury is actually a little worse than he originally thought. "Update for everyone," he wrote. "I ended up having a fracture in my tibia and two fractures in my fibula. Got surgery Thursday in California to get it fixed by Dr. Wang. Not sure a timeline but will do everything in my power to be back ASAP."

Cooper Webb has not had much luck since he stepped up to the premier division at the beginning of last year, as a handful of niggling injuries have stopped him from building momentum. The current Monster Energy Supercross campaign has been no different, unfortunately, and now he'll be out for the foreseeable with a fractured tibia.
"Little update for you guys," Cooper Webb wrote on his Instagram account. "Last night in Minneapolis I was involved with some carnage in the rhythm section right off the start and I ended up getting landed on in the first main event of the night. I ended up with a fractured tibia as of now. Have an appointment Monday with an ortho to see the final word. Extremely bummed to say the least, but I do know it is hard to beat someone who won't give up. I'll be back soon: #GodsPlan. Thank you to all my sponsors and people in my corner."
Cooper Webb currently sits eighth in the championship standings and had a season-best finish of third at Daytona. Webb placed thirteenth in his maiden season aboard the YZ450F, despite the fact that he missed five rounds with an injury.
