Foot injuries were common at Red Bull Straight Rhythm and, unfortunately, Jordon Smith found out that his is more serious than first thought. Smith initially stated that nothing was broken on social media, but further examinations revealed that is not actually the case.
"Well got some answers on my ankle the last couple days," Smith wrote on his Instagram account. "Looks like I broke my navicular in my foot from casing the jump at Straight Rhythm. Going to have to take a bit of time off to heal up and get ready to go for the start of the season! I was starting to get back to feeling really comfortable on the bike again. Thanks to the team for having my back through it all."
A rider typically misses four to six weeks with an injury such as this, so that would make him questionable for the 250SX West series.
