Rumours have run rampant through the MXGP paddock recently, but the name Jordi Tixier has not featured in any of those. Most have been kept in the dark about his future plans and, following a disastrous campaign in MXGP, it was quite obvious that he would not be able to fill a factory-supported seat.
Jordi Tixier took to social media earlier today to announce his plans, however, which include moving to a new KTM team. "Big news," Tixier stated. "I'm [able] to announce [to] you my new colour and this new challenge for 2018 season in MXGP with the team BOS and the owner Olivier Bossard. The bike, the new colours and sponsors of the team will [be] at the show in Milano in three weeks at the Parts Europe stand."
After competing in ten of the nineteen rounds this year, Jordi Tixier finished twentieth in MXGP with a total of just eighty-two points. Countless injuries ruled him out of a handful of events.
