When Monster Energy KRT MX2 shut up shop at the end of the season, a handful of guys were left in the lurch. Stephen Rubini quickly found a home at Silver Action KTM and now Morgan Lesiardo, the current EMX250 champion, has also announced a switch to Austrian machinery.
The Italian-based Marchetti KTM outfit have signed the youngster to contest a full season in the MX2 division. Jose Butron will continue with the team also, but the terms of that deal have not yet been announced. This is rather important information, actually, as rumours regarding the team's demise ran rampant in the paddock earlier in the year. It has not yet been confirmed if any other riders will be on the team.
Morgan Lesiardo completed six rounds in the MX2 class this season and had a best finish of fifteenth. '44' acquired points in three other motos, but failed to score in seven of them. The EMX250 title was his priority, just as one would expect, and he claimed that crown with an advantage of fifty-two points.
