Crash Footage: MXGP of Russia

Mishaps from Russia.

Mishaps from Russia.

Jeffrey Herlings typically struggles in muddy conditions, but that was not the case today. '84' romped to a convincing win in the first moto and then bounced back from countless crashes in the second encounter. Here is one of those…

In what was the most controversial crash of the weekend, Romain Febvre ran into the back of Jeffrey Herlings (who was being lapped) in the second moto and lost control of the lead. Febvre could only manage to salvage second place after this incident.

Hunter Lawrence crashed a handful of times in the Russian mud, but had no problems overcoming those hiccups to salvage great finishes. That leads us to wonder what could have been had he stayed upright…

Jorge Prado‘s short stature made the conditions tough for him to overcome. '61' was doing a great job of it in the second moto, however, until this fall.
