The third round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross was a memorable affair for the RCH Yoshimura Suzuki team for a few reasons. Justin Bogle romped to a convincing win in the first 450MX moto, of course, but all eyes were already on the squad before that.
A small fire broke out beneath the team's awning following practice and, although it was quickly seen to, there were initially some questions regarding whether their riders would be ready for the first encounter. What caused the blaze? The reason has not yet been made public, but it is in the past now and no significant damage was sustained.
The win was a milestone for Bogle, who never won a race in the 250MX division, as he has recently made changes to his programme and joined Ricky Carmichael at his farm. Bogle now sits fifth in the 450MX standings, following his triumph at round three. Seven points separate him from the rider in fourth.
