Cooper Webb is still fighting his way back to full health, following that crash at the seventh Monster Energy Supercross round. Webb returned to riding in the days prior to Daytona, but is eager to ensure that he can jump in right where he left off when he does return. Indianapolis will come around just a little too soon, unfortunately, but a return in Detroit next week is on the cards.
"Cooper’s getting close to being ready to race again, but he won’t be able to make the Indy round," Keith McCarty (the Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation USA) stated in a press release. "He’s rehabbing, riding in practice and anxious to return to action and to racing in front of all of his fans."
Webb has been fairly quiet since his most-recent injury, but did recently emerge on Instagram with a caption that simply stated "Detroit… You're next." After missing the last four rounds, Webb sits thirteenth in the 450SX standings.
