Prestige Women’s and 125 Championship – Di Biase and Villani win in Ama Expert

Città di Castello – Kiara Fontanesi and Andrea Zanotti were the standout performers in Città di Castello. During the Prestige championship round for the 125 and Women’s classes (second round for 125, first for women), the defending champions confirmed their dominance with a clear margin over their rivals.

The weekend featured great weather, especially warm on Saturday, and excellent organization by Moto Club Baglioni.

Prestige Women

The first success came already at registration: with 49 entries, a new record was set for the Italian Women’s Championship.

Kiara Fontanesi (GasGas – Fiamme Oro) lived up to expectations, winning both motos in dominant fashion from start to finish. Britain’s Lucy Barker (KTM) finished second, recovering from a crash in race one and showing strong pace in race two. Giorgia Montini (Honda – Gaerne) completed the podium, ahead of Desiré Agosti and Sweden’s Nellie Fransson.

In the category standings, Barker won the Under 19 class ahead of Fransson and Emanuela Talucci. Asia Macini took victory in the Ama class, ahead of Lora Tamas and Francesca Mercante.

In the Women’s 125 class, Serbia’s Ana Kolnookov won both motos ahead of Alessia Di Luccia and Valentina Giglio. In the Over 17 category, Deborah Aquilini came out on top, followed by Letizia Marconi and Chiara Profidia.

Prestige 125

Andrea Zanotti (Husqvarna) dominated the weekend with pole position and two convincing moto wins. The San Marino rider made no mistakes and remained unbeaten. Ramon Savioli and Mirko Valsecchi were unable to challenge due to a retirement and multiple errors respectively.

Giovanni Meneghello won the Fast class ahead of Davide Brandini and Andrea Cipriani. In the Expert class, Gabriele Oteri took the win ahead of Lorenzo Fondelli and Pietro Zanchi.

Ama Expert Novaenergy

The 2026 Ama Expert Novaenergy Championship also kicked off in Città di Castello.

In the MX1 class, Leobruno Di Biase (Honda) claimed the first red plate. He won race one and finished third in race two after a crash at the start, which was enough for the overall win. Leonardo Lazzeri finished second and Gianmarco De Santis third.

In the MX2 class, Vittorio Villani (KTM) dominated the field to take a clear overall victory. Riccardo Cavina finished second and Riccardo Tenti third.

The Prestige Women’s Championship continues on May 2–3 in Maggiora, while the Prestige 125 and Ama Expert Novaenergy return on June 6–7 in Albettone.
