In the MXGP timed practice session in Switzerland, Lucas Coenen clocked the fastest lap, ahead of Romain Febvre in second and Kay de Wolf in third. Tom Vialle, Alberto Forato and Jan Pancar completed the top six, while Jeffrey Herlings finished seventh. Calvin Vlaanderen was 17th and Rick Elzinga placed 32nd.
In MX2, Valerio Lata set the fastest time, followed by Camden McLellan and Sacha Coenen.
