Cullin Park to Undergo Shoulder Surgery, Misses Remainder of 250SX East Season

Cullin Park of the PHX Racing Honda Team will miss the remainder of the 250SX East Supercross season. The American is dealing with a shoulder injury and will undergo surgery.

The injury occurred after a crash, and it quickly became clear that it was more than just minor damage. “From the moment they tried to put my shoulder back in place on Saturday night, I knew something wasn’t right,” said Park. “The pain and lack of mobility made it clear that further examination was needed.”

Medical evaluations revealed that Park is not only dealing with damage to the labrum and stabilizing ligaments, but also a fracture in his shoulder. This injury currently makes it impossible for him to move his arm normally.

“If it had only been the ligaments and the labrum, I probably would have lined up in Detroit,” Park explained. “I still have the drive to put myself and the team in a better position. But with this fracture, that’s simply not possible.”

Park will travel to Nashville to undergo surgery and is now fully focused on his recovery. The goal is to return in time for the Pro Motocross season.

Despite the setback, the American remains positive and motivated. “It’s a tough situation, but it could always be worse. I know how much progress I’ve made this year, and I’m far from my peak. That gives me all the motivation I need to come back stronger.”
