MRT Racing Team Beta Factory Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross’ – Mantova

The “Tazio Nuvolari” track in Mantua hosted the final round of the Italian Motocross Championships EICMA 2026.

The circuit, despite the fog that gave no respite throughout the race day, proved to be challenging but in good condition, allowing the riders to express themselves at their best.

In the MX1 Class, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) is growing in confidence with the bike. The Belgian rider set the ninth fastest time in timed practice and in the first race started in the top ten. During the race he was able to recover several positions finishing with an excellent fourth place. Sensational was the start also in the final race with Geerts closing the first lap in second place. Due to a slide, he suffered the return of some opponents but crossed the finish line with an encouraging seventh position. Geerts finished fourth Overall on the day, just two points from the third step of the podium and achieved the same placing in the final Championship Standings.

Jago Geerts: “It was a positive day. In the first race I finished fourth after fighting until the end for the third position. In the second race I had a fantastic start and after holding to the second position in the first two laps, I made too many mistakes and lost positions. A crash made me lose more ground. I think I collected less than what was within my reach, but it is positive that we improved compared to last weekend.”

In the MX2 Class, Alexis Fueri (Beta RX250 2T) finished fifth in his timed practice group. In the first race he got off to a great start and managed to finish fourth. Unfortunately, in the second race he crashed at the start, suffering a heavy blow to his arm that prevented him from continuing. The French rider obtained the tenth place Overall on the day and twelfth in the Championship.

Alexis Fueri: “The weekend started in the best way. The feeling was good right away and I set the fifth fastest time in timed practice. In the first race I started very well and finished fourth. My forearms got stiff, but the final result was very positive. In the second race I crashed at the start and hit my arm hard, the one I injured last year. The pain was strong and I preferred to retire. In the coming days I will undergo some checks in France but I can’t wait to get back to work.”

Eighth in group two of timed practice, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX250 2T) had little luck in the first race which he finished twenty-fifth after a start at the back. The Italian rider was also forced to recover in the second race but managed to reach the points zone, finishing thirteenth. Thanks to the eight points gained, Brando finished twentieth on the day and seventeenth in the Championship.

The Mantua stage also marked the debut of the Beta 250 4T prototype, ridden by Beta team members who took it onto the track to compete directly with their rivals and gather essential data for development.

Having completed the Italian Motocross Championships, MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will continue working to arrive in the best conditions for the first round of the FIM Motocross World Championship 2026, the Grand Prix of Argentina, which will be held on the brand-new circuit in Bariloche on March 7-8.
