Tim Gajser, Simon Laengenfelder and Moritz Ernecker won the first moto of the Italian Championship in Mantova.
Jeffrey Herlings came to a stop during the first moto of the Italian Championship in Mantova. Herlings got off to a good start but became involved in a battle with Tim Gajser that took them off the track in the second corner. As a result, several positions were lost, but during the race he worked his way back up to fourth place and closed in on Ruben Fernandez. However, midway through the race he came to a halt in a corner due to a chain problem. As a result, many positions were lost, making a top-three result impossible.
