Italian Championship Alghero Live

In just a few days, the opening round of the 2026 EICMA Internazionali d’Italia Motocross will get underway, with Sardinia once again taking center stage in Italian off-road racing.

On Sunday, February 1, the starting gate will drop at the Lazzaretto circuit in Alghero for the first of two rounds. The event promises to be a must-see for motocross fans, as the world’s elite riders line up at the gate. Not only does this race serve as a crucial benchmark for teams and riders, it also offers a unique opportunity to see many of the sport’s top names competing for the first time in their new team colors and aboard new machinery.

As tradition dictates, numerous protagonists from the World Championship will be on the starting line at this prestigious national event, which attracts global attention from motocross fans. The EICMA Internazionali d’Italia have long provided the stage for new partnerships, technical developments, and the ambitions that shape the upcoming season.

EICMA has consistently supported major off-road events, recognizing the importance of manufacturers alongside the athletes. The event will also showcase the debut of new motorcycles that will later appear in World Championship competition and, soon after, in dealerships worldwide.

The entry list continues to grow. Fans are encouraged to follow Off Road Pro Racing and Internazionali d’Italia on social media to stay up to date and see which riders to watch.

The sandy Alghero circuit, renowned for pushing both riders and machines to their limits, provides a spectacular setting overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. For this edition, the track has been fully renovated and upgraded to meet the demands of the event.

The Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI) and its President Giovanni Copioli are closely involved in the organization, alongside the Region of Sardinia and the Municipality of Alghero. Everything is in place to welcome teams, riders, and fans into the paddock.

The event will also be available via live streaming, with two dedicated commentary feeds:

  • Marco Gualdani providing Italian commentary

  • Paul Malin, the voice of MXGP, delivering English commentary

All races will be broadcast live on federmoto.tv and FIM-MOTO.tv. For FMI members, the live stream will be available free of charge.

See you on February 1 in Alghero, at the Lazzaretto Circuit.
