Kay de Wolf Defies Snow in First Motocross Training of the Season

While most people avoid snow and icy conditions, motocross athlete Kay de Wolf is embracing the winter weather. Today, Kay officially kicked off his new season with a unique training session at the Veldhoven motocross track. After two weeks of indoor training, the young talent from Brabant was finally able to head outdoors for his first on-track session of the year—set against a striking snowy backdrop.

This season marks an especially significant milestone for Kay, as it is his very first year competing in the MXGP class, the highest level in professional motocross. A long-held dream is becoming reality. “As a small child, I always dreamed of racing in MXGP, and now it’s finally happening,” said Kay. He looks back positively on his preparation and is determined to get the most out of himself in the upcoming season.

The snowy conditions added an extra challenge to the day’s training. “Today was the first day back outside, and suddenly there was a lot of snow! I see it as a fun challenge,” Kay explained. Although snow is rarely a factor during races, he remained unfazed and used the conditions as an opportunity to further test and develop his skills.
