Edgar Carnet has won the Dakar Rally Prologue. At the finish, Carnet was just two seconds faster than Daniel Sanders, while Ricky Brabec finished third, five seconds behind. Luciano Benavides and Ross Branch completed the top five.
Dutch rider Ian Olthof finished the Prologue in 58th place.
