The De Baets MX Team looks ahead to the 2026 season with confidence and ambition, proudly presenting its rider line-up. The team remains faithful to its successful formula: combining the development of young talent with top results.
It was previously announced that Lotte van Drunen will also compete for the Belgian team in 2026. This partnership has proven highly successful over the past few years. Together, they have already secured two world titles, and the shared goal for the upcoming season is clear: to chase a third world title. With her speed, professionalism, and winning mentality, Lotte remains the absolute spearhead of the team.
Focus on Talent Development
In addition to success at the highest level, the De Baets MX Team has long been recognized as a development team for young international talent. This philosophy continues in 2026 with the arrival and confirmation of three promising riders in the European classes.
Dex Kooiker – EMX125
Dex Kooiker will continue competing in the EMX125 class in 2026. The young rider is working on his comeback after a serious injury sustained during the EMX125 race in Latvia in 2024. Last season was largely focused on recovery, but the team’s confidence in him remains strong. With his determination and speed, Dex has the opportunity to prove himself again at the European level.
Torre van Mechgelen – EMX125
Torre van Mechgelen will also represent the De Baets MX Team in the EMX125 class. Torre is regarded as a rider with great potential and a solid foundation, and the team provides him with the space to further develop toward the top of the European field. With the right guidance and experience, the team aims to help him grow step by step.
Cole McCullough – EMX250
Cole McCullough will make the step up to the EMX250 class in 2026. The Northern Irishman had an impressive first half of the EMX125 season, including a race win and several podium finishes. However, his season ended prematurely due to a scaphoid (wrist) fracture sustained during the EMX race in Germany. Cole is now working hard on his comeback and is highly motivated for his EMX250 debut, where he aims to showcase his talent once again.
Ready for 2026
With this balanced line-up—a mix of proven world-class riders and emerging talent—the De Baets MX Team sets a clear course for 2026. The team continues to build sporting success while keeping an eye on the future and the next generation of motocross riders. The foundation is laid, the ambitions are clear, and the De Baets MX Team is ready for a new chapter.
