Anderson and Anstie Claim Supercross World Titles

Jason Anderson and Max Anstie have claimed the Supercross World Championship titles in South Africa.

Anderson won both sprint races but had to push to the limit in the final in a battle with Joey Savatgy for the title. Both riders swapped the lead several times, but in the end it was Anderson who secured the championship ahead of Savatgy. Christian Craig finished third in the final but third place overall went to Colt Nichols.

In the final World Championship standings, Christian Craig finished third overall behind Anderson and Savatgy.

In the SX2 class, the world title went to Max Anstie, while Shane McElrath took the overall victory in South Africa. McElrath won both sprint races and managed to keep Max Anstie behind him throughout the entire final.

Behind McElrath, Max Anstie finished second, ahead of Coty Shock (5-4-3).

In the final championship standings, McElrath finished second behind Anstie, followed by Shock, Cullin Park, and Enzo Lopes.
