SUCCESSFUL MXGP ORGANIZERS’ MEETING IN LAUSANNE ALONG WITH THE FIM AWARDS AND MUSEUM INAUGURATION

Lausanne became the focal point of the motocross world as it hosted the Annual MXGP Organizers’ Meeting alongside the FIM Awards Ceremony, continuing a long-standing tradition within the championship. Held in the Olympic Capital, the meeting brought together the entire MXGP organizer community, Infront Moto Racing, as well as the FIM to lay the foundations for the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship.

The meeting opened with Infront Moto Racing CEO David Luongo addressing the audience:
“Good morning to all of you. We are very excited about the upcoming season. First of all, I would like to thank all the organizers for being here. Every year we repeat this seminar, and it is always a pleasure to host you during the FIM Award Ceremony.
Last year was a fantastic but very challenging season, and I want to thank all of you for the huge amount of work you put into it. Despite very difficult weather throughout the year, you spent countless hours on the tracks, the facilities and the paddocks to deliver great events for the spectators and to help the championship continue to grow. This is now the starting point for a new year, with the goal to always improve our facilities, the way we welcome spectators, and the tracks where the riders can express themselves safely and with enjoyment. You are at the core of our work, and without you, the championship would not be what it is today. We also have a great mix of organizers with us. Those that are here for decades. But we also have Montevarchi that came back after many years. We have a new race in Spain in Andalucia. We have Lacapelle Marival that is coming back after 5 years. This is an essential part of keeping the legacy of motocross while looking ahead to always improve the series.
want to thank the FIM, Antonio [Portela] and all the team also to be here and to be next to us during all those challenges and to be next to us during the great time that we have today and ahead of us.”

FIM/CMS Director Antonio Alia Portela then addressed the organizers:
“As David said, it has been a very demanding year, but in the end we made it; thanks to your efforts, your commitment, and your determination. What does not kill us makes us stronger, and this year we have grown stronger in all aspects. The challenges are ahead, and we are confident that we will cope with them together.
Infront Moto Racing will do everything needed to make sure that the Grand Prix events next year will be successful, but we all need to do our part so that everything is smooth and ready when we arrive. Weather can sometimes make things difficult, but when the preparation and the will are there, we can deal with it and deliver successful events everywhere. Thank you everyone.”

Then, a season recap video was projected highlighting the key moments and best racing of the 2025 MXGP season. Mariona Leiva, Marketing Director of Infront Moto Racing then introduced the key representatives from Infront Moto Racing, including CEO David Luongo, COO Daniele Rizzi, and all departmental managers. The FIM was represented by Antonio Alia Portela, alongside senior officials involved in MXGP sporting, technical and operational matters.

A particularly strong signal of shared commitment was sent by the exceptional presence of all championship organizers. This remarkable participation highlighted the strong dedication shown by organizers, alongside Infront Moto Racing and the FIM, to continuously raise standards and deliver a world-class championship.

The afternoon agenda saw Infront Moto Racing present a series of in-depth sessions outlining new developments and operational priorities for the coming season. Topics ranged from event infrastructure and paddock organisation to track preparation, safety procedures, broadcast operations, media coordination, and marketing initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive overview of event delivery requirements.

This was followed by contributions from the FIM delegation, with Race Director Ingo Partsch, Technical Director Andy Summers, FIM Chief Flag Steward Karsten Schneider and Medical Director David McManus, sharing their expertise on event oversight and regulatory expectations. Their interventions focused on practical implementation on site, areas identified for further improvement, and the measures required to maintain consistency and excellence across all rounds, supporting smooth and efficient race weekend operations at every venue. Finally the collaborator and provider of the MXGP ticketing platform Weezevent also made a presentation to the audience. This comprehensive approach ensured full alignment and readiness for the 2026 season. Finally the overall presentation ended with an highlight of the new venues present in the 2026 MXGP Calendar along with the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Ernée, France.
