Alfredo Gomez finished 7th in the 2025 edition of Roof of Africa, the legendary race in Lesotho that closed the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship season from November 20 to 22. For Alfredo Gomez, the three days in Africa were a test of consistency and determination. The Spanish rider battled constantly in the leading group, always remaining in the top 10 and once again proving his pace to compete at the top of the category.
“The race went well, I’m happy even though it could have gone better,” commented Gomez at the end of the competition. ” We were in groups of 10 riders the whole time, and I was always in the first group, in the top 10. Before the end of the last day, we fell as a group, and I had to recover, finishing in 7th position. In the end, I’m happy because I was always very close to the top 5.”
Sandra Gomez also performed excellently, finishing 10th in the Silver Class and establishing herself as the best female athlete in the competition.
Gomez’s 2025 season was marked by ups and downs. Starting with high ambitions at the opening round in the UK in May, the Spanish rider suffered an injury at the RedBull Romaniacs in Romania that affected his results in subsequent races. But instead of giving up, Alfredo worked hard to regain his fitness and confidence.
The end of the season rewarded this approach, with increasingly strong performances confirming his return to the top. His 7th position at the Roof of Africa, where he was in constant competition with the leading group, is the best testament to this comeback. Now, with the last stage of the year behind him and his form restored, Gomez is already looking ahead to the 2026 season, ready to get back on his Beta with renewed ambition.
Gomez’s participation in the Roof of Africa was also made possible thanks to the valuable support of the staff at Rock Steady, Beta’s importer in South Africa. “I want to thank the whole team for their work throughout the season,” concludes Gomez. “A special thanks goes to Rock Steady for welcoming and supporting us here in Lesotho”.
