Jett Lawrence wins at home in Melbourne

Jett Lawrence has won the Australian Supercross Open in Melbourne. Lawrence took control of both main events and dominated the race. Behind Lawrence, Dean Wilson secured second overall with a 2–3, ahead of Hunter Lawrence with a 5–2. Hunter came from the back of the pack in the first main event and still managed to salvage a fifth place.

In the SX2 class, the victory went to Cole Thompson with a 1–3, ahead of Shane McElrath with a 4–1 and Ryder Kingsford with a 3–2. The latter now leads the SX2 standings in the Australian Supercross Championship after Lux Turner was injured during practice and has most likely suffered a fracture in his wrist/arm.
