The Van Venrooy KTM Racing team can officially confirm that KTM will part ways with Dutch talent Cas Valk following the conclusion of the 2025 season.
After sitting out a year, the team returned to the MXGP paddock this season, making the step into the MX2 World Championship for the first time. To mark their comeback, the team signed up Valk, who was eager to take on his rookie campaign at world level after successfully progressing through the EMX250 series.
Both team and rider treated 2025 as a learning year, with Valk adapting to the challenge of the MX2 World Championship and Van Venrooy Racing adjusting to life in the highly competitive category. There were plenty of positives, with Valk delivering some impressive rides throughout the year that underlined his potential. Ultimately, he ended the season twelfth in the championship standings, a solid debut showing for the youngster.

It was also a proud campaign for Van Venrooy KTM, who were recognised as the best MX2 private team of the 2025 season – a testament to their dedication and professionalism in their first year focusing on the MX2 World Championship. Not only that but Valk also won the MX2 Dutch Masters of Motocross with the team earlier in the season.
However, as the season has drawn to a close, both Valk and KTM have agreed to go their separate ways. The team extend their thanks to the Dutch rider and wish him success in his future career.

Looking ahead, the team are already planning for 2026, with rider announcements expected to be announced in due course.
Cas Valk: It’s been a good year working with the Van Venrooy KTM team we had good results and fun. A big thanks to Ruud, Emile and Klaas for everything they do for the team. Also a big thanks to both of my mechanics for the hard work always – Thank you all.
